MIDDLE SCHOOL LANGUAGE ARTS/SOCIAL STUDIES TEACHER

Harmony School seeks a Middle School (grades 7th/8th) Language Arts/Social Studies teacher starting in Sept. 2020. Looking for qualified applicants, certification not required, with experience teaching and enthusiasm for working with adolescents. The right candidate will inspire students to enjoy writing, literature, and social studies. Harmony utilizes a holistic educational approach, and requires personalized involvement in the academic, social-emotional growth and development of our students. ALUMNI COORDINATOR

Harmony School seeks a part-time Alumni Coordinator. Responsibilities include developing an alumni network for current/upcoming Alumni, coordination and development of alumni events, development of alumni cultivation plans, alumni fundraising efforts, alumni data clean up and research, alumni database management, coordinate alumni efforts and development and implementation of an eNewsletter. This position requires strong organization and communication skills, great attention to detail, strong writing skills, familiarity with Microsoft Office. Experience with Adobe CS Suite, database management, email marketing and understanding of Harmony community is a plus. Administrative Assistant
for National School Reform Faculty

The National School Reform Faculty, a part of the Harmony Education Center, is seeking to immediately fill a part-time Administrative Assistant vacancy.  

The NSRF is a non-profit organization that provides professional development support for educators worldwide. 

This is a part-time (20-hrs/week), hourly position ($13/hr). Flexible hours possible. Office open Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.

This assistant works directly with the NSRF Operations Coordinator to support NSRF professional development trainings, member support services, and the organization’s administrative staff.  

Specifically, the Admin Assistant will support:

  •         training logistics: preparation, organization, and documentation
  •         training fiscal administration: billing and invoicing
  •         training participant support: membership servicing and documentation
  •         website user/member account management: customer service by creating, maintaining, searching user/member data online
  •         general technical/customer service: phone, email, website
  •         general bookkeeping: sales invoicing, vendor billing
  •         general administration: document preparation and filing

Required Technical Skills (prioritized list):

  1. Google Suite programs (GDrive, GMail, Sheets, Docs, etc.)
  2. Spreadsheet software (Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets)
  3. Basic bookkeeping/accounting using software (Quickbooks)
  4. Database management software
  5. Word processing and PDF software (Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat)

The NSRF is comprised of a 4-person office working with a team of about 20 independent contractors. We depend on the administrative assistant to be organized, detail-oriented, communicative, curious, flexible, and willing to learn and work independently to problem-solve. Desirable applicants will have all the required technical skills and either the skills or a willingness to learn the skills to assist with our WordPress-based website.  NSRF is seeking to hire someone with a collaborative team mentality looking for a long-term commitment with growth potential.
