The 27th Annual Gene Flander
Harmony School Golf Tournament was held at the Stone Crest Golf Community
on Sunday, May 6, 2007.
Indiana University coach Felisha Legette-Jack rubbed shoulders with
participants.
Teams ($450) and tee sponsors (at $150, $250, and $450 levels) help
make this event a successful fundraiser.
This year’s Harmony Extravaganza will be held on Saturday,
May 19, 2007, from 12:30 to 5:00 p.m.
Started in 1987, the Harmony Extravaganza in a continuation of the
old Elm Heights School Penny Carnival. It is a family-friendly outdoor
event held on the grounds of Harmony School.
Games can be sponsored for $25, booths for $50, our stage for $100,
and the High Flyers Trapeze Artists, the highpoint of the event,
for $200. Contact Mary Beth at 334-8379 for more information.

Winter Farmer’s Market
|
The Winter Farmers Market was expanded this year at Harmony School
and was held every Saturday from January 27 to March 31.
The market offered fresh winter produce, prepared food, and crafts
for sale to casual and regular shoppers.
The market also offered organic, free-range, and other natural approaches
to nutrition. These efforts improve our relationship with other living
creatures.
Shoppers were entertained by local musicians and Evan Voss, a magician
and high school junior at Harmony, who was raising money for school
trips and his senior project.
Planned
Giving
During
2007, Harmony Education Center’s supporters who are at least
70 1/2 years old can donate up to $100,000 from traditional or
Roth IRA accounts without incurring any income tax.
This tax law passed after Hurricane Katrina. It is one of many instruments
called special, planned, or deferred gifts that may pose additional
tax benefits for donors.
Bequests, trusts, and any other property of value can be contributed
to the Campaign for Harmony. Scott and Mary Beth are ready to meet
with donors as they explore these methods of giving.
