Middle School News:

Kelli, Marty & Ursina

The end of the year is fast approaching and I hope everyone is enjoying the excitement. For some students this is the first time that they have had to deal with so much at once. It is a time for immense growth and maturity. It can also be the time for a few meltdowns, but that is our job to help them through it and to allow them to grow.

This month both seventh and eighth graders should be finishing up their last project. Seventh grade due dates are below and graduates should be setting due dates with their committees. However, graduates should still be putting in a good six hours a week on their projects. Everyone will be presenting once we are back from our spring trip.

This year the students voted to go to Red River Gorge in Kentucky for a climbing, canoeing and hiking adventure. The trip will be from May 7 – 10. Much more information will soon be coming via letter and e-mail.

To continue fund raising for the trip one of our parents, Jennifer Blankenship, has put together a concert at Max’s Place Sunday, May 6th from 5:30pm – 8:30. We will be taking donations at the door to go to the Middle School. This year, a group of Harmony teachers will be playing (Scott Evans, Chris Barth and Claudio Buchwald), our very own Ella Poletti will be gracing us with some of her original songs and the Blankenship band will be performing. This is a great way to support the musicianship in the Harmony Community, get a great meal and a cold beverage after a long weekend. Please join us for the fun.

Finally, as we round out the school year please feel free to come and touch base with us at any time. This is an exciting time of year with lots going on.

Thank you,

Kelli, Marty, and Ursina
